He says, "International Watercolour Masters 2022 will deliver the world's greatest living contemporary watercolour masters for your pleasure, a feast for the eyes and imagination with over 140 stunning Masterpieces on view."
He chose Lilleshall House & Gardens as the venue because of its beauty and for its convenient, central location for people visiting from all over the UK and beyond. Lilleshall House & Gardens is also a venue with stunning English heritage grounds, gardens and walking trails. The venue also has a café, a more formal dining option at Chapters restaurant, and free parking. It’s an inspiring and great day out.
David was born in the West Midlands, the industrial heartland of England, but now calls the rural countryside of Shropshire home. He exhibits in fine art galleries world-wide. Painting in pure watercolour medium, he uses a painstaking multi glazing technique, with sometimes up to 20 layers of transparent paint, each in turn delicately modulating the colours beneath. There is no white paint used at all in any of his works preferring instead to preserve areas of the natural paper, his paintings can take many weeks in the making. A recurring theme in his work is the reclamation by nature of that which man has created and abandoned.
